Takako Shigematsu is one of the latest new stars in the manga world. When she's not busy creating manga, Shigematsu enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her pet pug, playing games and sampling foreign snack foods.
Her first story about life in an all-boys dorm, was published in 1995. In 2002 she got her big break with 3 Meters from the Sun, which ran for three volumes.
Her next manga series was Tenshi Ja Nai!! which started in 2003. During this series she also wrote a one volume romantic comedy with a Genie called Master of the Lamp in 2004.
In 2006 she started released a new serie called Ultimate Venus.
Tenshi Ja Nai!! is her first work to be published in English by Go! Comi but it's not the only one. Recently the same publisher licensed Master of the Lamp.
